About Tide
Tide Microfluidics develops and produces preclinical and clinical medical products for the preparation of Ultrasound Contrast Agents (UCAs). This UCA enables significant improvements in image contrast, which in turn enables faster and more accurate diagnoses to be made in a patient-friendly and cost-effective manner. Job description

In this function you would be responsible for the development of robust production processes. You would work as part of the process engineering team to develop processes and establish robust production steps. We began in 2013 as a spin-off from the University of Twente and have since grown into a team of more than 10 people. We are currently preparing for our first clinical validation trajectory, which means both a growth in Tide and an intensification of product and process development to meet the challenges of this phase. In this period of expansion and growth, additional process engineering strength will be crucial. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge and flexibility of a small organisation and has an eye for detail for production processes. You are by nature an enthusiastic team player who enjoys the chance to make your function your own and accepts the opportunity to take responsibility. You are also a creative problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit, who together with your colleagues strives for the best results for the organisation.

The challenge:
✓ You will design production processes using standard tools such as PFMEA and Six Sigma
✓ You will define and document the relevant process requirements
✓ You will design individual process equipment, components and process tooling using SolidWorks, where              needed
✓ You will translate the developed processes into detailed process descriptions
✓ You will write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for these processes
✓ You will plan and carry out work within agreed timelines, to meet project goals
✓ You will Investigate and present proposals for technical and process improvements
✓ You will document in a precise manner work carried out, results achieved, and any conclusions drawn
✓ You will work closely with other engineers and report to the Operations manager

Profile
✓ You have a background in Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics or similar
        o BSc/MSc is preferred
✓ You have a minimum of three (3) year’s work experience
✓ You have an affinity with production processes
✓ You are able to communicate both in writing and orally in English
✓ While Dutch is not required, this would be valued
✓ Cleanroom experience would be valued
✓ You have strong analytical skills
✓ You enjoy the challenge of problem solving
✓ You are risk aware and able to work towards mitigating solutions
